China auto output, sales both break 5-million mark in first half year
China's auto output reached nearly 5.2m units in H1, an increase of 16.7% over the same period last year. While sales of domestically-made autos stood at 5.18m units, up 18.5% over last year's figure, said the CAAM.

Energy consumption per unit of GDP in China continues to fall last year

China's energy consumption per unit of gross domestic product (GDP) value continued to fall last year, as a result of the country's efforts to make energy use more efficient and cut pollution, official figures show.
